Zoning Ordinance Development

Metro COG works with local jurisdictions on updating their zoning ordinances to be consistent with the objectives of that jurisdiction's comprehensive plan.

Typical tasks in these efforts include, but are not limited to:

1. Update the ordinance to improve accessibility/ability for the City to codify ordinances or amendments subsequently adopted
2. Re-write and modify certain definitions and sections of the ordinance based on state statute and industry standard
3. Re-write and address certain elements within the ordinance to ensure proper function within the context of the ordinance
